Make Your Days Extraordinary!
There are 365 days in a year. How many of these days are you productive? How many of these days are wasted on being lazy? I believe that each day of our lives is a gift and a chance to do something extraordinary and make the world a better place in some big or small way. So, how do we change a seemingly ordinary day to an extraordinary one? I believe we can accomplish this by paying close attention to our choices. Choice, even small ones, can have a positive or negative impact on your day.


Be Kind


Try waiting that extra minute to hold the door open for the person five feet behind you. Try letting that car get into your lane. Try being kind to someone who is rude to you. At the store? Buy a special surprise for someone you know. Surprise your family with a special dessert. Go somewhere you have never been before. Do something you've never done before. The morning is the perfect time to prepare yourself mentally, physically and spiritually by feeding your body, mind and soul with good things.


Appearance


What you choose to wear can impact the way you feel about yourself all day. Wake up a little earlier than usual or lay out your clothes the night before, and choose something that makes you feel confident and good about yourself. It doesn't matter where you're going, dress for the job and the life that you want and it will find you. Trust me, you'll never regret looking nice.


Breakfast


We usually gravitate towards the food that is easiest to prepare because we don't have a lot of time but you should always try to have good, healthy foods already prepared and waiting for you in your fridge. Try keeping little pre-made snacks in your fridge like cut fruit, a few mini pancakes, and some containers with pre-made salads. Always be cautious about what you choose to eat; especially in the morning, as food can affect your mood and make you irritable or depressed, it can also affect your energy and make you feel lazy or discouraged.


Inner Peace


We have no control over the moods that people around us will be in or what they will say to us but we can learn to control ourselves and the way that we react to their sometimes negative energy. We must be at peace with ourselves in order to be at peace with others. Make yourself proud in the way that you handle conflict and try to stay positive when you start to feel like things aren't going well,remember you never know what tomorrow holds. What may seem like bad circumstances can actually end up leading us right where we're supposed to be. Try meditating on these life concepts and praying your way through the day, feed your soul anyway you'd like. If you feel really lazy and unmotivated, try taking a short nap, try taking a shower or a bath, do some exercise, go outside... nature can be very healing and therapeutic.


Follow Your Dreams


Make a list of everything you want to accomplish in your life, in this year, in this month, in this week and even in this day....then make a plan on how you can accomplish these things.


Music


Music can be a wonderful way to get inspired. Music can really affect our moods and it's important to play music that will inspire and motivate you.
Try making a workout playlist, a drive to work playlist and a drive home from work playlist.


Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone!


It's also important to be open to trying new things! A little change is always good to keep life exciting and get you out of your routine! Magical things happen when we step out of our routines. Look for new opportunities and new chances you'd usually avoid and give them a try.


Laugh


Another thing, choose to laugh and be silly. Don't take yourself too seriously. Laughter has the power to heal us and take away our stress, so embrace it. Finally, at the end of your day, give thanks for all things and give thanks to yourself too. If you like, write down every productive thing you did, every goal you reached, every task you accomplished, every moment of self control, & every chance taken. Be very, very proud of yourself and your progress. Never give up on your dreams, never stop trying. Take care of yourself, pamper yourself, love yourself. I hope you will have many extraordinary days, and remember that everyday is a gift.

  5. I love this post. Making your day great starts with you and my biggest thing is appearance. If I look good then I feel good. Also music is a big one. When I get to have a jam session with my favorite bands I feel ready to start the day.
